This position will serve our campus clinic, UNC Kittner Eye Center located in the Ambulatory Care Center. The Ophthalmic Assistant works closely with the Ophthalmologist and other support staff. Certification and experience as an Ophthalmic Assistant is preferred. Required daily tasks include but are not limited to: Refractions, Humphrey Visual Fields, Applanation Tonometry, Visual Acuity, obtaining and documenting Medical History and Chief Complaint, and Keyboarding. Those who can perform Retinoscopy and/or Goldmann Visual Fields will be given special consideration. Additionally, Medflow EMR experience is a plus but not required. Exceptional soft skills are a must.

Minimum Acceptable Education
1. High School graduation or equivalent
2. COA Certification
