Busy Retina practice seeks a highly motivated, energetic, reliable, self-starting individual. Willingness to learn and positive attitude is a must. Prior clinical experience in another busy ophthalmic practice is required.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Advanced knowledge of ocular anatomy, medical terminology, diseases of the eye and patient charting
• Obtain comprehensive patient history and complete work up for eye exam (i.e. visual acuity, pupil testing, motility testing, ocular function, tonometry and visual fields)
• Administer topical ophthalmic medications
• Use and maintenance of ophthalmic instruments and sterilization equipment
• Preparing patients for minor procedures and ocular injections
• Triage of patient calls
• Assisting with Laser, Cryo and Pneumatic procedures
• Acting as scribe
• Counseling patients with surgical preparation, Rx use and Amsler grid
• Work will in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude
• Strong communication and organizational skills
