Sundell Eye Associates (SEA) is currently seeking an Ophthalmic Technician.
The ophthalmic technician position has the flexibility to be part or full time.

Sundell Eye Associates is a growing comprehensive ophthalmology practice in Virginia, Minnesota with a satellite office in Ely, Minnesota. Currently, Sundell Eye Associates is building a new Eye Clinic on Baileys Lake in Virginia to open in June of this year. Additionally, Sundell Eye Associates will be breaking ground on a new Ambulatory Surgery Center, also on Baileys Lake, in the spring of this year.

Our ideal candidate for the Ophthalmic Technician / Ophthalmic Assistant position will bring with them an experienced skill set. We are seeking an individual who is enthusiastic about gathering ophthalmic data for our physicians with a positive, patient-centered approach.

The ophthalmic technician/ophthalmic assistant will be involved with patient care from pre-op evaluation to post-op follow up care.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

*Performing corneal topography, IOL Master, OCT 3, PHP, Auto Refraction, Auto Lensometry, Visual Fields.

*Skilled in performing complete patient work-ups including the use of slit-lamp, applanation tonometry, and complete medical and ocular histories.

*Utilization of EMR

*Working knowledge of cataract surgery, refractive surgery, minor surgical procedures, various ocular diseases
