MEDICAL SUPPORT SUPERVISOR

Duke Eye Center, a leader in Ophthalmology is looking for a Medical Support Supervisor. The position is responsible for providing daily supervision and coordination of ophthalmic medical personnel. The qualified individual must understand ophthalmic templates, patient flow, and staffing in order to achieve continuous and optimal patient care within the Eye Center. To be successful in this role the candidate must be customer service focused and have exemplary customer service skills. Typical tasks include but are not limited to: staff scheduling, hiring, training, appraisals, and work assignments.

REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Work requires 2 years post - secondary education, preferably in an allied health field.

COT or COMT required. Work requires a minimum of 4 years of ophthalmology clinic experience related technical support, including diverse knowledge of patient care and eye problems and extensive knowledge of ophthalmic anatomy, physiology, and pharmaceuticals.

A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in an ophthalmic clinic setting is required.
