Sunland Optical, a national leader in the field of vision care, has several unique opportunities available to Independent Therapeutic Doctors of Optometry who have a desire to operate their own Optometric practice on various military bases located throughout the United States.

Presently, there is an immediate opening to take over an existing optometric practice in the main shopping center on the Fort Leavenworth military base located in Kansas.

The practice comes fully equipped, with two complete lanes of equipment and a fully equipped visual screening room (including a retinal camera). All diagnostic equipment will be provided along with a certified practice management system to meet the requirements of the military base contract.

The practice uses Office Mate and Exam Writer and caters to military families, retirees, and active military. The major insurance used by patients is Tri-Care, Tri-Care Prime, and Tri-Care For Life.

The Optometrist will be responsible for staffing and running the practice in compliance with an AAFES contract.

Sunland Optical corporate offices are located in El Paso, Texas. Along with a full service optical laboratory in El Paso, Sunland Optical services retail stores and professional offices under contract with AAFES.
