Ophthalmic Technician

Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center, part of Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health/Geisel School of Medicine, has a full time Ophthalmic Technician position open, this job will be split between our Hanover, NH and Windsor, VT offices.  It is preferred that qualified candidates have an Associate’s degree with two years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, as well as appropriate certification/licensure. This position is responsible for taking patient histories, performing ancillary tests (i.e. visual fields, keratometry, OCTs), taking eye measurements, completing required chart documentation, refraction.  We are a full service medical and surgical Ophthalmic practice serving adults in two locations.  This full time position hours are Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Location: Green + White Mountains; 2 hours from Boston + Burlington; Ivy League school

Outdoor Activities: hiking, skiing, fishing

Providers: One General Ophthalmologist (cataract, glaucoma); 1 to 2 Optometrists
