Are You Passionate About Your Job?
OCTOBER 16, 2015 | BRAD MCCORKLE
On October 15th, Local Eye Site Founder Brad McCorkle spoke to the Private Practice Club at the Illinois College of Optometry, encouraging students to pursue a career and a life they're passionate about. The topic of his presentation was “Practice Personality: Making Career Choices That Reflect Who You Are”, delivered to roughly 60 ICO students who were in attendance.
The main message from Brad’s talk was to encourage the students to spend some time thinking creatively about their options upon graduation. In his discussion, Brad stated that “the choices aren't as limited as either private or corporate. Your options are virtually limitless.” The students were encouraged to think outside the realm of limitations, and perhaps even consider entrepreneurship when thinking about how they might put their education into practice for a career they’re passionate about. The conversation closed with Brad encouraging the students to pursue career options that inspire and facilitate helping others using their talents.
