Sandhills Community College is seeking candidates for a full-time 12 month contracted faculty appointment beginning March 1st, 2012. Candidates must be JCAHPO certified as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or higher (COMT-certified ophthalmic medical technologist preferred), be certified in BCLS, and a minimum of an Associate Degree in a health science or science related area is required. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years experience as a COA or COMT with teaching experience in a community college setting.

The duties will also include, but are not limited to teaching, developing course syllabi, program policies and procedures, clinical rotations, and competency evaluations. Candidates must be willing to maintain professional memberships and professional activities.
