This position requires a person with an outgoing, very friendly personality and is detailed oriented. The patient check out employee will need to be familiar with EMR system, verifying patients’ procedure fees, and checking for accuracy. Experience is necessary in collecting patient co-pays including the processing authorizations on credit card payments and posting charges and payments in the computer. Applicants need to be experienced with CPT and ICD9 codes and modifiers and the ability to correct or adjust as needed.
