A leading ophthalmology practice in York, PA, seeks a full-time Clinical Supervisor / Head Ophthalmic Technician to join our winning team.

Must have a diverse and thorough background experience in ophthalmology. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Experience in patient work-up, applanation tonometry, refractions, A-scans, IOL Master, testing and scribing.
• Responsible for assisting Ophthalmologists and supervising 4-5 technicians
• Oversees maintenance of exam rooms, diagnostic equipment and technician station supplies
• Coordinate and monitor doctor schedules.
• Works cooperatively with front office manager and staff to ensure optimal patient flow to maximize the efficiency of the doctors’ schedules
• Provides orientation and on-going training for technical staff.
• Experience in cataract specialty desired.

Ideal Clinical Supervisor candidate will have exceptional customer service and people skills, PC proficiency and good organizational skills. Strong computer skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Must be certified ophthalmic technician (COT or COMT) with at least 4 years technician supervisory experience. EMR experience desired, but not essential. Coding knowledge helpful
