Independent optometric practice seeking a vision rehabilitation therapist.
Our practice is in the heart of the downtown medical district of historic Fort Worth, TX.
Our practice differentiates itself from other practices in the community by providing state of the art optometric care in addition to vision rehabilitative therapy for vision related learning disorders, post-concussion vision syndrome and post stroke patients.
Because of these specialties, we have developed interprofessional relationships with neuropsychologist, psychologists, physiatrists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, ophthalmologist and family physicians.
Vision rehahabilitation experience is not required, but the ideal candidate should have the desire to continue to learn, the desire to work with challenging cases, the goal of becoming a Certified Optometric Vision Therapists (COVTs) and the desire to become part of team that is recognized within the community amongst inter and intra-professional peers.
Annual attendence at the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD) will provide you with the tools necessary to advance your understanding of vision development and how to use vision therapy rehabilitation techniques to help patients.
