Optometric Assistant
Southwest Florida Eye Care is a fast-paced ophthalmology/optometry practice seeking a full-time Optometric Assistant to join our team! Hours are Monday 9:00 am - 6:00 pm, Tuesday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. An ideal candidate would have proficiency with:
Complete patient work-up
- Detailed patient history including: patient and family medical history (systemic and ocular), medication history (systemic and ocular), and chief complaint.
- Corrected and uncorrected visual acuity; neutralize eye glasses by lensometry; refraction
- Check IOP, instill eye drops, visual fields, fundus photography, OCT, topography, e-scribe prescription
Contact lens I&R; ordering contact lenses; calculate patient contact lens benefit with vision insurance plan
Stocking exam room supplies and ensure proper function of equipment
Use of electronic health records

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
