The Virginia Eye Institute is seeking a full-time Lab Technician. Our lab has state of the art equipment. At Virginia Eye Institute our associates enjoy an atmosphere that encourages use of their knowledge, experience, and skills to help shape our company into the #1 optical.
The key factors to success in this position are previous optical lab experience preferred, but not required and the ability to learn the best ways to prioritize your workload in order to meet the lab's changing priorities and deadlines. If you bring enthusiasm and hard work, we will provide full vocational training.
The general responsibilities of this position are to produce quality eyewear that meets all standards set forth by the company and maintain the lab equipment per company guidelines. We are a high quality product optical organization and we strive to maintain that whenever possible. Other duties are highlighted below:
- By the end of your first 90 days, you'll be able to manufacture finished lenses.
- Manage routine equipment maintenance and minor repairs.
- Keep job flow to maintain promised job times to our patients.
- Let your Director know of any equipment failures or delays in production immediately, and troubleshoot for solutions.
