Southwest Florida Eye Care is seeking a full-time Technician Staff Coordinator. Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Responsibilies include, but not limited to, the following:
Clinical Staff – Assists in managing the human resources of the clinical support staff. Interviews, recommends hiring of, orients, trains, assigns work, and when necessary disciplines and recommends termination of clinical staff. Interacts with administration in resolving complex-employee-relations problems. Assign technician schedules to ensure appropriate staffing levels and reassign staff as needed, coordinate lunch breaks for the technician staff, monitor technician staff hours and adjust schedules as needed to reduce overtime. Coordinates with Practice Administrator in implementing policies and procedures. Ensures technicians are current with required skills and knowledge.
Clinic - Monitor patient flow to reduce patient wait time; monitor and resolve ticklers and voicemails; assist with patient work-ups, filling patient exam rooms, and scribing; ensure proper maintenance, repair and calibration of ophthalmic equipment; troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment.
Compliance – Create and maintain policy and procedures in relation to compliance of OSHA and Quality Control (i.e. medical waste management, medical refrigeration, etc.); ensure appropriate training of staff in relation to OSHA and Quality Control regulations.
Education and Experience - High school diploma or general education equivalent. Minimum (5) years experience in ophthalmology clinic preferred.
