We are a private retina practice in need of an ophthalmic technician to travel between our Raleigh, Wake Forest and Smithfield locations. We are seeking an experienced and compassionate ophthalmic technician to assist the MD in facilitating patient care and maintaining a smooth, patient flow. Ophthalmic experience is required and ideally retina experience. Retina is a fast-paced environment which requires high-quality technicians. Duties will include, but are not limited to: work-up of the patient, diagnostic and ancillary testing (applanation tonometry, optical coherence tomography and fluorescein angiography) and minor surgical assisting. You will be working independently and as a team with fellow technicians and additional training will be provided.
Work schedule is Monday through Friday, full days, with the exception of Tuesday (partial day). Technicians follow the medical doctor throughout the week to the various practice locations listed above.
