Experienced Ophthalmic Technician or Optometric Technician (will train) with:

  • General medical knowledge with a fundamental knowledge of ophthalmology
  • Fundamental knowledge of an ophthalmic examination and diagnostic equipment
  • Working knowledge of computers and ability to use electronic health records
  • Familiarity with medical ethics, legal, and regulatory issues
  • Must be a quick learner with the ability to multitask, punctual, professional, and available for longer hours, if required
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Energetic and willing to learn new skills
  • Certified preferred, but not required


  • Must be able to adequately perform meaningful use compliant histories, lensometry (with auto-lensometer), autorefraction, applanation tonometry, pupil assessment, Octopus visual fields, OCT, fundus photography, pachymetry, and TearLab/Inflammadry


  • At least one year experience as an ophthalmic technician (certification by the Joint Commission of Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology preferred) or one year experience as an optometric technician.
  • High School Diploma

  • Full Time (32-36 hours / week)
