Exciting opportunity for an experienced Ophthalmic Technician and/or a Technician willing to learn and grow available in Santa Clarita, CA! This is a rapidly growing practice that offers long term employment and job security.  

Full time position:

 REPORTS TO:               Technician Manager


Job Summary:          To perform multiple visual function and diagnostic tests as delegated by the physician to allow for proper professional diagnosis of eye conditions. This must be completed in a time efficient manner with a focus on quality care and excellent patient communication skills.


EDUCATION:               Minimum of high school diploma or GED or the completion of an accredited Ophthalmic Assisting/Technician program, Knowledge of basic math, Command of the written English language, Demonstrated computer literacy


EXPERIENCE:              One year experience in an ophthalmology office.  COA  preferred.



Visual Acuity at Distance and Near

Evaluation of Motility
Confrontational Visual Fields
Cover testing
Ishihara color plates
Worth 4 dot
Amsler grid
Glare testing
Potential acuity testing

Manual refractions/automated refracting system

Goldmann tonometry



Diagnostic tests including:

Humphrey visual fields
OCT for retina and glaucoma
Fundus photos
IOL Master
Contact/Immersion A-Scan


QUALITIES:      Able to work independently and with others

                        Puts the patient as the priority

                        Bilingual preferred- Spanish

                        Problem solver

                        Excellent communication skills
