About the role:
You’ll be working in a dedicated team of Ophthalmology Technicians within the Auckland Eye. Our primary focus for the team is to ensure that our patients and doctors receive amazing service and high quality technical skills. This is a great role for someone who loves using their knowledge and abilities to provide superior ophthalmic care while delivering excellent service to your patients. Your responsibilities will include patient care and the delivery of ophthalmic technical services and support, including assisting with minor procedures. You’ll also ensure your clinics run smoothly and assist with triage, research, ordering, equipment maintenance, teamwork and communications. As with all patient-facing roles, you have a responsibility to ensure that the care we provide remains at the forefront of our industry.
The main clinic is in central Auckland region, but you will work across all our locations in the city. The work hours are early or late shifts, being 8 hours per day between 7 am and 6 pm - Monday to Friday.
The salary offered will be based on experience and local market rates. A relocation package may be available to suitable candidates.
Obviously, you’ll need have great people skills - that’s essential and of course, you will be genuinely passionate about service and quality of care. You will need to be formally trained and ideally experienced in ophthalmology – we are open to backgrounds such as an Orthoptist, Ophthalmic Technician. Your current colleagues will tell us you’re really organised, enjoy being busy and making a difference to both your patients and your team. We are a growing private Ophthalmology practice, with 15 specialists. Our primary clinic and day stay facility is located in Remuera. We also have two additional hubs in New Lynn and Takapuna, which includes both clinic and surgical services.
