Growing Ophthalmic /Glaucoma Specialty Clinic, with locations near the Grapevine hospital district and downtown Fort Worth, has vacancy to fill an Opthalmic/Optometric Technician position that portray the skills and experience mentioned below.

- Candidate must have extensive experience in the ophthalmology field and be highly knowledgeable in all areas of ophthalmology, especially glaucoma. Scribe candidates should have strong typing skills, good spelling/ grammar skills, and the ability to accurately summarize and document the exam.
- Candidate must have previous experience in the ophthalmology field. Candidate should have the ability to perform tonometry by Goldmann, visual acuity, pupil assessment, EOMs, confrontational fields, and document thorough chief complaint and medication review. The ideal technician will have strong work up skills. This position will be filled by an experienced work up technician with the potential to scribe. Computer knowledge and strong typing skills required.
- Previous experience as an ophthalmic or optometric testing technician preferred for a testing tech position. Job functions include performing diagnostic testing; HRT, OCT, Visual Field, Fundus Photo, and Diopsys. There is potential for the ideal candidate to achieve career advancement through training for work up technician level.
COA preferred, but not required. COA certification through JCAHPO is encouraged and provided by the practice. Continuing education benefits are available for certified candidates.
