Responsibilities and Duties:

MD practice in Johns Creek, GA seeking qualified ophthalmic assistant to join our team. COA or 2 years of experience in an ophthalmology office required. Mon–Thurs 8:30am-5:30 pm, Friday 8:30am–1:30 pm. 

Salary is negotiable depending on experience. EHR/EMR knowledge helpful.

Job duties include (but not limited to): recording patient history, refractions (Manifest and Cycloplegic), lensometry, retinoscopy (experience a plus), applantation tonometry, corneal topography, pachymetry, visual acuity, pupil function and ocular muscle functions. Experience performing ophthalmic procedures and diagnostic testing. Triage and return patient phone calls.

Responsible for education and follow up with patients, assist doctor with minor surgical procedures, accurate data recording, order medical supplies, maintaining equipment, answering patient questions and scribing with doctor

Must be mature, pleasant and team-orientated.
