Looking for an experienced ophthalmic technician - minimum >2 years experience - who is interested in continued growth in her professional expertise. As a corneal specialty practice, we help patients with a variety of problems - routine exams, contact lenses, refraction for glasses, corneal referral patients, cornea transplants, cataract surgery, and LASIK. This practice has a well established patient base with the reputation for offering the best in ophthalmic care.
Individuals applying to the position would be expected to be have great interpersonal skills, a good variety of technical skills, and be a touch typist. A minimum of certification of COA is required, but higher levels preferred.
The position is full time with full benefits - health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, 21 days PTO/year, pension and profit sharing plan, office scrubs provided, and paid expenses to 1 national meeting (typically AAO)/year. We work from one office with top of the line equipment - no travel between offices, no evening or weekend hours required.
Salary will be commensarate with experience and certification. Signing bonus offered - as we are filling a position for a COT moving out of state in less than 2 weeks.
