We are Charlotte Eye Ear Nose & Throat Associates, P.A. (CEENTA), the region’s premier eye, ear, nose, and throat care provider for adults and pediatric patients for more than 90 years, and we are looking to add to our team. We are currently looking for an ophthalmic staff member to provide ophthalmic imaging (Visual Fields, OCTs, A-Scans) and Contact Lens assistance. This full-time opening is located in our Pineville, NC (near Charlotte, NC) office.

PLUS – Receive a $750 bonus as a new Ophthalmic Imaging Technician, COA, or COT after your sixth month of employment.

Summary of the position:
Provide ophthalmic imaging services for clinical patients and assist patients with contact lens services.
Strong candidates with imaging experience without contact lens experience will be considered and will be provided training on providing contact lens services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic testing to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patient (Visual Fields, OCTs and A-Scans)
Provide education and instruction on the use and maintenance of contact lens
Provide educational and triage information to patient and their families.
Education and/ or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or one to three years of related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with diagnostic imaging equipment – VF’s, OCT’s, A-scans
Network computer software applications,
Experience with EMR platforms, Epic preferred
Experience working with multiple providers simultaneously
Skills and Abilities:
Comfortable with technical aspects of clinic
Excellent people skills
Very detail oriented
Organized with strong documentation skills
Ability to multitask
Written & verbal communication skills
Certificates and License:
Valid and active certificate from JCAHPO as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant or Certified Ophthalmic Technician is preferred but not required
