Ophthalmic Technician

The fulltime Ophthalmic Technician will provide services in the Ophthalmology/Optometry Clinic at the Hospital, Raleigh, NC. The Ophthalmic Technician expected to work 40 hours per week; no overtime.  A typical work week is Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

License & Certification Requirements:   Either completion of an Ophthalmic Technician training program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) – OR -completion of an Ocular or Ophthalmic Technician training program provided by the United States military (e.g., US Navy, Army or Air Force).

Education Requirements:   Possess a high school diploma or GED certificate.

Experience Requirements:  Possess experience as an ophthalmic technician of at least 12 continuous months within the preceding 36 months.
