Minnesota Eye Consultants is one of the premiere eye care practices in the nation. The team of providers at Minnesota Eye is comprised of sub-specialty trained surgeons, non-surgical ophthalmologists, and fellowship trained doctors of optometry. Our areas of expertise range from cataract surgery and premium lens implants, treatment of corneal disease and glaucoma, oculofacial and aesthetic services, to LASIK – laser vision correction and other total eye care or specialty offerings. We are currently recruiting for full time Ophthalmic Technicians. Duties include patient histories and workups and comprehensive diagnostic testing including refractometry/retinoscopy, tonometry, keratometry, biomicroscopy, A-scans, pachymetry, photography, visual fields, BATs, PAMs, corneal topography, and other tests as directed.
The qualified candidate will have at least six months of experience as an Ophthalmic Technician or be a recent graduate of an Ophthalmic Technology program. Excellent retinoscopy/refractometry skills required. Good computer skills a must, with previous EHR experience a plus. Current COA, COT or COMT certification preferred.
This position will have a home base, but travel is required to all metro area locations as needed (Blaine, Bloomington, Falcon Heights, Maplewood, Minnetonka and Minneapolis). Position is 40 hours per week. Hours are Monday through Friday, with varying shifts between 7am-6pm, and an occasional Saturday morning.
