We are looking for a full time or part time Ophthalmic Technician!
Certified ophthalmic technician needed for new office in Annapolis Maryland. Excellent opportunity to grow with a new practice. If you have been an Ophthalmic Technician and not certified, will help complete certification process! You must be a reliable, dependable enthusiastic individual.
Experience and efficiency in ophthalmic medical records, applanation tonometry, refraction, medical history, medication reconciliation, e-scribing, OCT, HVF, corneal topography, HVF, fundus photography, lensometry, and ordering supplies. Performs other tasks that facilitate patient flow. Assists with surgical coordination and cross-training with office administration to include office administration duties as needed. Must arrive to work on time.
Must have a positive, courteous and professional manner when speaking to a patient with a willingness to learn as well as contribute to the needs of a growing practice. Must be able to work under pressure and solve problems and ability to work well with other co-workers.
Must have experience in an ophthalmology/optometry office, knowledge of eye anatomy, disease, symptoms and ocular medications preferred, must be proficient with computers and typing (50-60WPM) and have experience with electronic medical records software.
COA (Certified Ophthalmic Assistant) or COT (Certified Ophthalmic Technician) preferred. Minimum High School Graduate
Full Time or Part Time hourly position; pay based upon experience.
