Surgical Scrub Technician/Instrument Processing Technician
St. Luke's Surgical Center is looking to hire a full time surgical scrub and instrument processing technician to join our team in our Tarpon Springs location. Experience preferred. St. Luke’s Surgical Center performs multi-subspecialty ophthalmic surgery.

Reporting to the OR Supervisor, the surgical scrub technician’s role and responsibility is to provide necessary and appropriate equipment, instruments and supplies during ophthalmic surgery with the surgeon, nurses and staff. As an instrument technician, the role is to clean and sterilize instruments in accordance with AAMI standards. The ideal candidate must be able to work under pressure in an ever-changing environment.
Your primary position will be working in and overseeing our sterile processing department.
We require self-motivated, patient focused individuals with strong customer service skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment with patients, physicians and staff.
This associate will need to be available Monday through Friday.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalency is required
- A minimum of one year of experience as a surgical scrub technician in an operating room is preferred.
- Experience in the cleaning and sterilization of instruments preferred
- Must be mobile in a surgery procedure; walking, sitting, standing, bending and stretching
