Seeking the right person for a busy multi-physician Ophthalmology practice for a clinical position or administrative position.
COA/COT is preferred, but not required for clinical position. Person would be responsible for initial workup of all patients prior to being seen by the physician. This includes, but is not limited to: obtaining reason for visit, checking vision, intraocular pressure, pupils, confrontational VF's, angle assessment and dilation. Retinoscopy and refractometry skills a plus. Manual keratometry and lensometry skills also a plus. Position also requires the ability to type the doctor's findings into electronic record while the doctor performs the exam. All positions - must maintain records to ensure proper chart documentation. Must be detail oriented and have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work in a fast paced environment. Great customer service skills a must. Having familiarity with vision insurance plans versus medical insurance plans is a plus.
Willing to train the right person.
Ophthalmology terminology a plus.
Great benefits package for all, to include payment of certification fees as well as payment of continuing education credits for clinical positions.
