Seeking the right person for a busy multi-physician Ophthalmology practice. COA/COT is preferred, but not required. Person would be responsible for initial workup of all patients prior to being seen by the physician. This includes, but is not limited to: obtaining reason for visit, checking vision, intraocular pressure, pupils, confrontational VF's, angle assessment and dilation. Retinoscopy and refractometry skills a plus. Manual keratometry and lensometry skills also a plus. Position also requires the ability to type the doctor's findings into electronic record while the doctor performs the exam. May be required to perform ancillary testing, to include OCT, fundus photos, IOL Master, and Visual Field testing (to name a few).
Must maintain records to ensure proper chart documentation. Must be detail oriented and have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work in a fast paced environment. Great customer service skills a must. Willing to train the right person.
Ophthalmology terminology a plus.
Some travel may be required.
