Role and Responsibilities:
Achieves daily sales goals/quotas as determined by practice management and staff
Interprets optical prescriptions written by optometrists/ophthalmologists
Performs accurate fittings for eyeglasses and contact lenses based on facial measurements and prescription specifications; operates necessary technology and equipment
Recommends and makes minor fitting adjustments as needed
Assists team members with customer care requiring complex product or prescription knowledge
Provides customer education on product use and care; provides honest and informed feedback regarding benefits of various lenses and frames
Participates in practice growth initiatives through increasing customer education and awareness
Participates in the selection, purchasing and management of store inventory
Monitors prescription deliveries for timeliness and accuracy
Maintains clean and attractive merchandise displays
Performs additional duties as assigned
Education: BA/BS degree preferred.
Experience: 2+ years of experience in a retail optical environment.
Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed personal and store sales goals
Experience dispensing both contact lenses and eyeglasses
Outstanding written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively to team members and customers
Superior relationship management and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated skill in conflict resolution and problem-solving
Meticulous attention to detail
Demonstrated excellence in customer service
