Looking for a highly motivated individual who is willing to learn and grow with a high functioning medical office. Spanish, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese), Russian, or Polish speakers a plus but not a requirement.
2 Must Haves:
- 1+ year Customer service Experience
- Healthcare background is highly preferred in a call center, medical records, customer service, etc. The main duties include:
Provide patient appointment and procedure scheduling both on telephone and also with direct patient interaction in office. Reschedule patient appointments as needed using EMR/ModMed. Must possess strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients, co-workers, Management Staff, and Physicians. Assist other members of the staff and assist Management as needed. Provide surgical instructions, communicate patient financial responsibility. Demonstrate professionalism in appearance and actions with patients, staff, Physicians and Administrators at all times. Maintains confidentiality of patient information. The Scheduler assures that patients have all information they need so that they will arrive on time and prepared for their appointments and that the office has all of the information required to bill properly for its services. Receives requests to schedule appointments from physician offices and patients and schedules the appointment according to the availability of the various physicians and various office locations. Provides and inputs accurate information so that all departments may view and print the schedule for the appointments daily, and maintains open communication with all office staff regarding special needs patients or specific referring doctor requests.
