Front Desk Coordinator
Location: The Woodlands, TX, some commute to near by clinics are expected.
Position Description:
The Front Desk Coordinator serves as a liaison between patients, clinical staff, and the business department. The duties may include patient data entry, scheduling, identifying medical benefits and patient responsibilities, and front-end revenue cycle duties.
Responsibilities
- Complies with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
- Complies with RCH practice standards and policies of department and organization
- Delivers positive patient experience
- Maintains respectful attitude towards patients, RCH leadership, and peers
- Maintains a safe, clean, and organized reception/waiting room area
- Coordinates appointments, validates patient demographic and insurance information, identifies medical benefits
- Corrects and updates all necessary data to assure timely, accurate billing submission
- Identifies all patient financial responsibilities, accurately calculates estimates, collects patient financial liabilities, posts payment transactions as appropriate in PM and check-in systems
- Educates patients/family members regarding billing processes and financial responsibility
- Appropriately communicates notification of issues that may result in service delays or denials
- Performs daily reconciliation and delivers daily bank deposits
- Ensures office supplies are adequately stocked, re-order supplies as necessary
- Performs daily job duties timely and accurately and within policy and procedure
- Completes and/or attends mandatory training and educational sessions
- Demonstrates adaptability and flexibility during changing demands
