Charlotte Eye Ear Nose and Throat Associates, PA (CEENTA), the region’s premier eye, ear, nose and throat care provider for adults and pediatric patients for more than 90 years is looking to add to their team.
Diagnostic Technician with experience with Visual Fields, OCT machines and other diagnostic equipment. Position will travel when needed to regional offices and mileage reimbursement will be provided.

Summary of the position:
To assist the physician by providing diagnostic ophthalmic test/assessment procedures to ensure quality care to the patients and support for our physicians
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform assessments using equipment to provide accurate results
Educate patient on testing procedure
Follow appropriate research protocols (when appropriate)
Document patient encounters properly in accordance to CEENTAcompliance guidelines in electronic medical record software in a timely manner
Provide educational and triage information to patient and their families (when appropriate)
Education and/ or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills and Abilities:
Customer Service and organizational skills, data entry, written and verbal communication skills, maintain positive team oriented attitude with an attention to details.
Ability to follow procedures and processes in accordance to CEENTA standards utilizing: (may vary by specialty and/ or physician)
Visual Field machine, Fundus camera, OCT machine, A- Scan (Lenstar and Immersion)
Network computer software applications, practice management software and applicable electronic medical record software.
Certificates and License:
Valid and active certificate from JCAHPO as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant or Certified Ophthalmic Technician is preferred but not required
