Associates in Ophthalmology seeking Cornea and Refractive Surgeon
Highly respected and well-established multi-specialty practice, Associates in Ophthalmology (AIO), is seeking a cornea and refractive surgeon to join their growing practice. The ideal candidate will have completed a cornea fellowship and be Board Certified/Board Eligible. AIO is a physician owned, independent practice consisting of 9 MD’s, 1 full-time OD, 5 part-time OD’s and nearly 120 employees. AIO has been in existence since 1899, and currently has 7 offices in the Western, PA and Wheeling, WV region. The practice is a renowned, multi- subspecialty eye care group offering a wide range of services in the diagnosis and treatment of cataracts, laser vision correction, diseases of the cornea, retina and glaucoma. All subspecialties are managed by physicians who are fellowship-trained and board-certified.
Our main office includes 12,000 sf of office space and an 8,000 sf ASC. AIO was the first in our region to implement the LenSx Femtosecond laser technology for laser cataract surgery in May 2012. AIOimplemented NextGen EMR in 2006 and has qualified for Meaningful Use and PQRS Incentives since 2012. AIO was selected as one of Pittsburgh’s Best Places to Work in 2013 and 2014. We are an optometric friendly practice with over 300 actively referring providers. Our ASC received a 3-Year Certification by AAAHC and consists of 3 Class C Operating Rooms.
