St. Luke's is currently looking for a Certified Ophthalmic Technician to join our growing Pediatric Ophthalmology team! 


We are looking for a competent, caring and motivated ophthalmic technician to join our growing Pediatric Ophthalmology team. Applicant should enjoy working with children.  Our pace is fast and fun!


Certified Ophthalmic Technician - Pediatric Ophthalmology

Required Criteria:

Education:   High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience: 0 years relevant experience.
Licenses/Certifications:  Current Ophthalmic Technician Certificate OR years of experience in the field of ophthalmology/optometry substituted for certification. 


Preferred Criteria:

Ability and willingness to exhibit behaviors consistent with standards for performance improvement and organizational values
Ability and willingness to exhibit behaviors consistent with standards for performance improvement and organizational values. 
Flexibility to work at Boise/Meridian locations


Essential Job Functions 

The applicant will be responsible for assessing vision, performing basic testing, motility measurements and refractions.  Applicant will triage referrals to office, answer patient questions, maintain instruments.  Should be familiar with an electronic health record and work well with others.
