LOCATION: Positions available in the Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, Northwest, Southwest


The Practice Development Representative (PDR) is responsible for providing current and comprehensive clinical knowledge of Tear Film Innovations products, and effectively communicating the clinical and economic benefits to practices and their staff through training and ongoing support. The PDR is also responsible for increasing product sales within their assigned territory. This is accomplished through regular on-going contact and by building solid working relationships with providers and staff.


•   Provide training and case analysis for practitioners and treatment coordinators to build confidence and to reinforce product benefits for practice integration

•   Responsible for attaining sales goals within current customer base in prescribed geographic region

•   Develop long-term, service-oriented and productive relationships with customers

•   Travel as needed to meet with customers

•   Develop and communicate clear and concise clinical and economic value that supports Marketing messaging and product management strategies

•   Facilitate and ensure successful integration of the iLux device into customer practices and delivery of its value proposition

•   Maintain regular contact with customers to strengthen relationships and ensure satisfaction with solutions and support

•   Prepare quotes and/or contracts as needed

•   Document office visits per company process

•   Investigate and leverage company resources to resolve customer challenges

•   Represent Tear Film in a professional and responsible manner at all times

•   Participate in trade shows and other events as assigned

•   Other duties and responsibilities as assigned


 Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) and/or Certified Ophthalmic Assistant


•   Eye care practice support experience in clinical application

•   Eye care practice development experience related to clinic flow and patient communications

•   Demonstrated record of consistently exceeding sales targets

•   Experience with and ability to travel up to 75%, associated with managing accounts within a defined geography

Skills (Required):

•   Ability to prepare and present clear business plans for the territory

•   Thorough understanding of value added sales processes and techniques

•   Proven ability to work productively across all functions

•   Ability to operate with a high degree of honesty and integrity

•   Proven relationship management, influence and consensus building skills

Skills (Preferred):

•   Eye care industry experience – specific dry eye category experience preferred

•   A successful track record closing technical/medical sales also a plus
