We are looking for an experienced Ophthalmic Technician with an out going, self motivational personality who is looking for a long term opportunity to join a dynamic group Ophthalmology practice as an assistant administrator.  Duties will be split 80/20 clinical/administrative and candidate should be willing to assume responsibility of over seeing the clinical aspect of the practice.

  In addition to standard duties of an ophthalmic technician, additional responsibilities will include:

  1. Organizing staff schedules

  2. Assist physician in directing daily patient flow and scheduling, pre-op management and post op management of surgical patients.

  3.Maintain office equipment and troubleshoot ophthalmic equipment problems and initiate repairs.

  4.Maintain ordering and inventory of all medical/diagnostic supplies

  5.Triage patient telephone calls, including emergencies, medication refills and pertaining to surgery.

Proficiency with EMR and use of technologically up to date diagnostic equipment required.

Schedule, salary and benefits are all negotiable.
