North Fulton Eye Center is seeking an experienced Ophthalmic Technician/Working Supervisor for the Roswell and Cumming locations. Technician will be responsible for the following: -Rooming patients and preparing charts for physicians -Performing field vision testing -Assisting physician with procedures on assignment -Perform refractions, lensometry, keratomy, tonometry and muscle testing -Knowledge of equipment (usage and cleaning), inventory ordering/control -Great customer service skills.
You will work closely with the practice administrator to make increase patient volume with efficient workflow and process compliance.
Hours : Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

You enjoy assisting each Doctor by ensuring he/she has all information needed (detailed orientated), you complete each test a Doctor orders, (OCT, Fundus Photo, Visual Fields, IOL Master) correctly and timely. You complete each task with the goal of assisting and preparing our Doctors so he/she can step in, do what they do best in a timely manner.
You demonstrate excellent patient service skills by interacting with each patient as you gather pertinent information and facilitate the visit. You will also do the following in a professional and accurate manner:
Recording a thorough History
Visual acuity measurement
Assist with contact lens fitting, and patient instruction
Tonometry (measure eye pressure)
Measure pupil size and reactivity
Test and measure eye muscle function
Visual field testing
Corneal thickness measurement
Corneal curvature measurement
Retinal thickness and topography
Prepare for and assist with in-office procedures
Job Type: Full-time
Salary is commiserate with experience and certification.
