Mountain Empire Eye Physicians, one of northeast Tennessee's premier ophthalmic practices, is seeking to add an Ophthalmic Assistant or Ophthalmic Technician to our clinical team.
The position requires independent decision-making capabilities, good customer service and skilled communication. Daily ophthalmic skills include: Obtaining patient and problem history, visual acuity, tonometry, automatic and manual refractions, automatic and manual keratometry readings, gross visual fields, and ocular movement assessments along with instilling eye drops as needed. Testing to include HRT, OCT, IOL Master, and visual fields. You will be required to prepare for and assist with minor surgery procedures, maintain equipment, scribe with each physician as assigned, and perform triage responsibilities. The position requires travel to satellite locations.
Minimum Qualifications: Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree, or COA / COT certification
