The Revenue Cycle Supervisor (Self-Pay) is responsible for providing leadership to the Revenue Cycle team, implementing and enforcing policies and procedures and streamlining effective revenue cycle operations. The Revenue Cycle Supervisor is a strong leader with a proven ability to engage the team in a collaborative and supportive manner.

Role and Responsibilities:
Manages our self-pay team, focusing on patient A/R and patient collections
Manages and oversees our call center ensuring optimal customer service performance and high patient satisfaction
Manages and oversees all patient transactions, including but not limited to, Care Credit Financing Program, Alphaeon Financing Program, Athena unpostables, legacy patient AR systems.
Oversees and streamlines billing and collections processes
Oversees and handles insurance carrier issues and insurance/patient return requests
Interfaces with vendors and third-party entities; manages relationships on an ongoing basis
Plans and implements quality assurance measures for all processes
Revenue Cycle planning and implementation using Athena (PMS)
Assists in the development of patient portals and electronic collection methods
Drives team growth by hiring new talent; interviews, trains and provides organizational planning
Supports direct reports through coaching and developing
Leverages operational understanding of front and back office
Keeps abreast of industry trends and monitors their impact on business performance and competitive advantage as related to revenue cycle
Participates in ad-hoc assignments as needed

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting/Business Management; Equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience: 3-5 years of progressive supervisory or managerial Revenue Cycle Management role, in a medical insurance/ healthcare billing environment. RCM experience in a large physician practice - multi location experience highly preferred. Experience with Athena practice management system a plus.
Thorough understanding of medical billing, collections, revenue cycle, and Medicare, working knowledge of CPT and ICD10 codes, claim forms, HIPAA policies, billing and insurance regulations, claims coding, medical terminology, and the appeals process
Superior knowledge of EMR systems and Practice Management Systems
Skilled at building and maintaining relationships at all levels within the organization as well as externally with vendors, current partners and potential partners
Demonstrated ability to create innovative approaches to solving challenging problems
Demonstrated ability to mentor and support the professional development of team members
Expert in analyzing and auditing reports; superior Microsoft Excel skills
Demonstrated ability to exhibit a superior level of professionalism and exercise good judgment at all times
