Local Eye Site Releases its Next Generation

by LocalEyeSite on December 20, 2010

Local Eye Site (LES), the premier online recruiting community for eye care professionals, unveiled its next generation website today. In addition to being a destination site for the eye care industry, the advanced site serves as the engine that powers online recruiting in eye care.

“We began the development process of our original site design in 2007. That design served our business, and our industry very well for almost three years. However, it was time to refresh our site with a design that better reflects the success and role of Local Eye Site today,” said Brad McCorkle, Founder of Local Eye Site. “LES’ next generation remains clean and user friendly, yet powerfully effective for the recruiting of job-seeking eye care professionals,” said McCorkle.

Since being founded in 2007, Local Eye Site has experienced tremendous growth. A partnership with Jobson Medical Information announced in the summer of 2010 greatly enhanced the scope of the Local Eye Site Power Network. The Power Network is a collection of eye care sites with job portals powered by LES. The Jobson Medical partnership brings the total number of sites in the LES network to fourteen.

Local Eye Site is the premier online recruiting community for all eye care professionals. Local Eye Site is more than a destination recruiting site; LES is the engine that powers online recruiting for the entire eye care industry.

“Local Eye Site is more than a destination recruiting site; LES is the engine that powers online recruiting for the entire eye care industry.” By this you mean that there are no other job sites for ophthalmology? Seems to me I can find plenty of listings on other sites.

That’s a great question actually. What we mean by that is that Local Eye Site (LES) has a completely unique model in the eye care industry. When employers post jobs on LES, those jobs are automatic “fed” and posted on jobs pages within other relevant websites (Review of Ophthalmology, Review of Optometry, 20/20 Magazine, Vision Monday, SightNation, Review of Optometric Business, Simply Hired, Indeed, etc and more to come) at no additional expense or effort on their part. The eye care professional targeted exposure we generate is unparalleled in our industry. Thanks for the question.

Don’t know about the rest of the country but there no optometry jobs here in California, have been unemployed for a year.
