Director of Surgical Services

The Director of Surgical Services will be responsible for clinical and managerial leadership over 10 Operating Rooms, Holding Area, PACU, Minor OR and the Central Instrument Processing Area. Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, you will support Hospital vision and mission through implementation of organizational goals and objectives.

Demonstrated accomplishments related to patient, physician and employee satisfaction; quality and performance improvement; productivity and efficiency are essential. Knowledge of accreditation, AORN and AAMI standards, health care regulations and patient safety required. Knowledge of ophthalmology, orthopedic and ENT surgical procedures preferred.

The selected candidate will possess a minimum of five (5) years recent operating room experience to include a minimum of three (3) years in a leadership role. Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership and team building skills are essential. Support education, professional enhancement, creativity and innovation in the delivery of safe patient care.

BS required; Masters Degree preferred. Valid nursing license required; CNOR certification preferred.
