Founded in 1914, North Carolina Eye, Ear, Nose & Throat, P.A. is the preeminent statewide provider of comprehensive, leading edge Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, Optical and Audiology services. We are curently seeking an experienced Ophthalmic Technician for our Durham office. COA/COT preferred, however, we are willng to assist an experienced ophthalmic technician in obtaining certification. Preferably, the candidate will have experience with:

Vision Testing
Refractometry
Slit Lamp Exam
Keratometry
Applanation Tonometry
A Scan Biometry
Visual Fields
OCT
Minor procedures

Requirements:
Completion of the AAO Home Study Course and JCAHPO COA exam preferred.
Experience in an ophthalmic office with patient interaction required.
Experience with an electronic health record system a plus.
Requires excellent communication skills and a keen understanding of patients with sensory impairment.
Must be able to express a caring attitude while performing tasks required with accuracy and efficiency
Must be able to act calmly and effectively in a busy or stressful situation
