Description:
Horizon Eye Care, P.A., a 20 doctor multi-specialty ophthalmology practice, is a regionally recognized leader in vision care and has been providing the greater Charlotte community with quality eye care for decades. We are currently seeking a Surgery Scheduler to join our progressive administrative team at our Cotswold location.
This position reports to the Surgery Scheduling Manager and works works closely with surgeons, lead technicians and patients.
The primary duties include:
* Scheduling and posting surgeries for selected surgeons
* Promoting confidence in our physicians medical care and makes the surgical experience as smooth as possible for our patients.
* May include medical counseling and chart preparation.
Requirements:
* High School diploma or equivalent.
* Minimum of 2 years surgery scheduling experience.
* Knowledge of medical terminology.
* Strong clinical background preferred.
* Experience in Ophthalmology preferred.
* Knowledge of CPT and ICD9 codes preferred.
* Must be highly organized and meticulous about details.
* Must possess exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to maintain a high standard of customer service.
