Description:

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic combines the experience and expertise of more than 370 physicians providing primary care and specialty care at 20 clinic locations throughout the greater Houston area. Kelsey-Seybold Clinic cares for more than 400,000 patients each year, including members of managed care plans, employer groups and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

We are currently seeking experienced Optometric Assistants/Certified Optometric Assistants, who are committed patient care, customer satisfaction, honesty and mutual respect. We have opportunities at our Main Campus and Spring Clinic: FT and Per Diem

Requires 1+ years previous Medical Assistant or Optometric Assistant experience if not a graduate of an approved Medical/Optometric Assistant program or 6 months experience and be a graduate of an approved Medical/Optometric Assistant program. Certified OA and BCLS are essential. Ability to use NCT, Autorefractor, computer related equipment, Lensometer and to perform K-readings preferred.

Ability to perform NCT, auto refractor, gross visual fields and motility exams, slit lamp operation, tonometry, operate IOL master, evaluate pupils, use of OCT/HRT, pachymetry, corneal topography and Humphrey VF. Knowledge and dosage of ophthalmology drops.
